Suddenly, on the Limousin mountain, in the land of a thousand springs, today Regional Natural Park of Millevaches, the Lake of Vassivière takes shape. An air of “little Canada” emanates from it… a change of scenery is guaranteed! 1,000 hectares of water, 45 km of jagged shores that seem to have been part of this landscape forever… and yet, it is one of the largest artificial lakes in France.
Vassivière offers timeless landscapes, a bubble of serenity in a multi-faceted site. Adventure grounds on the water as in the wilderness, authentic encounters, artistic surprises, cultural events and sporting challenges punctuate the seasons.
