A unique encounter
At the heart of the lake, on the island, the International Art and Landscape Centre prevails with its iconic architecture, a masterpiece by the architects Aldo Rossi and Xavier Fabre.
The Lighthouse-tower, offering a sensational panorama, and the linear gallery extending it, create two entities called “opposite and complementary” inspired by the surroundings, the forest and the lake. The Art Centre welcomes each year seasonal exhibitions, punctuated by events, workshops and interactions.
From the top of the tower, you can admire the Eiffel Unicorn by Yona Friedman, 324m long, the height of the Eiffel Tower from which it gave its name. Carry on the walk in the “Sculpture Woods”. About 60 masterpieces located beween forests, meadows and lake punctuate it, exciting your imagination and creativity.
Dedicated to contemporary creation, to experiment, to production, to public courses, the Art Centre also welcomes a bookshop and an international program of artist residency since 2012.
Since 2017, it is accredited mediator for the New Sponsor for the France Foundation.
