The French Boat Fishing Championship for carnivorous fish,
organized by the Fédération Française des Pêches Sportives (FFPS) and Mercury, makes its comeback in 2024 on October 19 and 20 on Lac de Vassivière (Plage d’Auphelle). The aim is for teams to win the FFPS title of French Carnivore Boat Fishing Champions 2024.
Vassivière, one of France’s top fishing spots
Covering almost 1000 hectares, Lac de Vassivière is well known to carnivore fishing enthusiasts. It is home to a large population of pike, zander and perch. Located on the Plateau de Millevaches, straddling the departments of Haute-Vienne (87) and Creuse (23), this man-made reservoir offers superb boating and fishing. At this time of year, carnivores are very active. Numerous boats are expected for this competition.

This year’s competition will be redoubled in intensity and visibility with the support of numerous partners. Thanks to them, the organizers can be ambitious and produce the biggest freshwater fishing event of the year in France. The MFC II is a major communications lever for fishing and the lake, with :
