The Clamouzat site lies at the crossroads of the three Limousin départements, in the heart of the Millevaches Regional Nature Park. The rocks are the central motif. In addition to its landscape qualities, this protected site is also of great botanical and geological interest, making it a remarkable educational site.
The site is made up of puys interspersed with wetlands known as ribières. In the middle is the Puy de Clamouzat, whose summit is largely occupied by deciduous woodland. Here we find the other great rock chaos: the Rocher de la Chouette. To the south, the Ribière de Clamougeat puts the Puy de Marsaly at a distance, with its beautiful heather moor dotted with large junipers. To the east, the Jalagnat valley widens into a honeycomb. To the north, the beautiful Ribière de Jalagnaguet isolates the Puy de Clamouzat like a peninsula surrounded by peat bogs and wet moorland.
