The hill of La Terrade (literally "high ground" in Latin) borders the Creuse River.
It is home to one of the town's most emblematic monuments: the Pont de la Terrade. For a long time, it was the only way to cross the river. Once made of wood and considered dangerous, it was repaired in 1579. The repairs proved insufficient. It wasn't until 1641 that the castle was demolished, enabling stone construction. Its current appearance is quite different from that of the 17th century. The bridge comprises two pointed arches resting on a central pier with a triangular forebay.
On the right-hand side, it features a faded coat of arms.
