    Its greatest treasure, however, is its magnificent polychrome alabaster altarpiece (15th century), the masterpiece of an English workshop. Tradition has it that it was brought back from Hanover during the 7 Years' War by a Marquis de la Roche-Aymon, Lord of Châtelus. Located in the left-hand chapel, the altarpiece comprises seven separate alabaster pieces, enclosed in an oak frame.
