In the South of Saint-Maurice-La-Souterraine, the Saumagne moor is a natural area which presents a multitude of interesting habitats. Some of them are exceptional for their rarity. Remains of old clay quarries form small depressions in whic specific plants flourish, such as peat mosses or bog St. John's wort (hypericum elodes).
Below, we discover the bucolic Ramade pond and the surprising remains of an old mill.
