A private forest that certainly existed as far back as the Middle Ages. At that time, it was planted with oak and beech; today, it covers 800 hectares and is mainly made up of coniferous trees and a few exotic trees: redwoods and American oaks. It is one of the oldest and largest coniferous forests in the Limousin region.
