The apparent boundary between earth and sky, the horizon is a distant line where the two seem to meet. The term is also used to indicate the limit of our knowledge. In Jeremy Shaw's work, a limit is necessarily something to be transgressed, whether by physical, spiritual or technological means.
"Maximum Horizon" exploits the iconography of religion, science fiction and representations of the sublime.
