Chapelle Notre dame de la borne St Michel de Veisse
Historic site and monument, Church
in Saint-Michel-de-Veisse
-
The little Gothic edifice, nestled in the village of La Borne, was born of the oath of a Lord of Aubusson, perhaps Charles, who was stuck in the swamp and begged Mary to save him. Having been heard, he kept his promise and built a chapel in her honor. An exceptional stained glass window depicting the Tree of Jesse (Christ's genealogy), dating from 1522, adorns the east side of the building.
