Lizières

The village of Lizières is composed of a dozen villages and hamlets whose charm resides essentially in its ashlar buildings. The village is recognizable thanks to its church with its 15th century bell tower and its castle dating from the same period.

Furthermore, spotted by the Heritage Foundation, the church was selected by the Bern Mission to be restored. As if placed on a balcony, Lizières offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including the Monts d’Auvergne.

Crossed by the Gartempe River and rich in private and public ponds, this rural commune seduces with its serenity and the beauty of its landscapes.

Hikers, fishermen, and tourists passing through will discover a haven of peace.
