An exceptional place
Every year, during two weekends, the first one in spring in May and another one in autumn in October, the Plant Days take place at the Arboretum de la Sédelle, an exceptional place for meetings between garden enthusiasts.
In fact,Arboretum de la Sédelle, classified as a Remarkable Garden,is distinguished by a superb collection of maples, which in autumn, will amaze you with its blazing colors. In spring, it is especially the rhododendrons that will amaze you and many other shrubs and The Arboretum de la Sédelle, it’s 400 species with 1000 colors.
Philippe Wanty, the owner of this garden, is a former student of the famous landscape designer and botanist Gilles Clément, who is also based in this small village in Creuse. Philippe Wanty has adopted thetheory of gardens in motion, which consists of minimal intervention by the gardener, machines and chemicals. All year round with his wife Nell Wanty, he shares his passion with the many visitors who enjoy strolling through this ocean of greenery.
