The beautiful season is showing its face… We can’t wait to go away for a weekend with friends, to meet up with the kids, grandkids and also to participate in all those parties and ceremonies put back year after year for the past two years! We really want to enjoy the freedom to be together but also, discover cultural, historical and heritage sites again.
However, we remain cautious! There is no question of taking risks. The mask is never far away and the meetings with our loved ones are done in small committee.
To take our minds off things this weekend, we rented with a couple of friends, a small gite in the neighboring department of Creuse which, in the end, we know quite little about.
We were told that there were plenty of nice walks to be had in rich green nature! As for the heritage, it seemed large and varied. We were not sure how to organize ourselves, which sites to focus on, how to find out about planned activities and tours and how to book them.
We contacted the Creuse Sud-Ouest tourist office, which offered us private guided tours!
Depending on our tastes and desires, the time we had available and our difficulties (one of our friends has problems with deafness), the guide made proposals to us.
We were spoilt for choice: guided tours of remarkable sites, artists’ workshops or art craftsmen, strolls in natural sites orcharming villages and even discovery of secret and amazing places…
We trusted him completely and do not regret it!
The program that was proposed to us completely met our expectations, the appointment was made. The circuit was judiciously elaborated, we only had to follow our guide who knew on the fingertips the route and the places discovered.
It was a bit like a friend was showing us around his region because we were taking advantage, in addition to the “classic” explanations, of a whole bunch of little details and anecdotes.
Thanks to this proposal, the tourist office provided a real “plus” that made our stay unique and unforgettable!
