Malval spotlight

The rock of the fox of Malval is located on the highs of the river “La Petite Creuse”, this one offers you an enchanting panorama on the Creuse countryside.

General presentation of the Spot

The Malval cliff is broken down into 3 superb routes on “quartz schist” rock:

– The “aurora borealis” route (1 length)
– The “à l’abordage” route (2 lengths)
– The “la grasse mate” route (2 lengths)

Access and Parking :

Go into Bonnat. Take the D6, then take the 3rd road on the left towards Linard. In the village, at the level of a barn (in front of you) with green beaconing on sign, take on the left the carriageable way on 250 m and park on the sides at the level of a calvary.
Down the path for 150 m and at the top of a small hill, follow the fluorescent orange markings downhill sometimes slippery to the foot of the tracks, first “aurora borealis”, then the 2 other tracks a little below on the left.

 

Equipment:

– 5 lengths of rope equipped with 12 mm pads and glued pins with chained belays. Provide single rope of 60 meters or double 2×40 meters.
– Possibility of abseiling from the 3 chain relays at the top of the cliff.
