Starting at GUÉRET (Place Bonnyaud in downtown)
Go to D914 (d° La Brionne) via the Prefecture and the Hôtel du département to the Étang de Courtille(leisure base).
At the Etang de Courtille traffic circle, take a left toward Saint-Léger-le-Guérétois via the Col du Maupuy(alt. 633 m).
At Saint-Léger-le-Guérétois, take D76A to Saint-Victor-en-Marche then D52 to Saint-Yrieix-les-Bois via La Chapelle-Taillefert, Saint-Christophe, Savennes, and Peyrabout.
In Saint-Yrieix-les-Bois, take D89 to the left. After Le Théret and Villegrenier, turn right onto D942 until the D50 d° Busseau sur Creuse junction on the left.
At Busseau, cross the Creuse and take D16 immediately right after the bridge (under the railroad viaduct 320 m long and 57 m high max, built Dec. 1863 to Dec. 1864, listed as MH in 1975) to the junction with the D13 at La Gare (via Heyrat).
At the exit of Moutier d’Ahun(abbey listed as MH, 12th c. bridge), follow D13 to Ahun.

In Ahun, take route de Limoges (d° Pontarion) by D13 and, at the exit of the town, turn left on D16 (d° Saint-Sulpice-les-Champs). After Le Puy and Etang de Chamberaud: carved village of Masgot(on the right).
At Les Essarts, turn left on D17A to Fransèches then D53 to Saint-Martial-le-Mont, via Lascaux / Les Chézades.
Cross Saint-Martial-le-Mont right from the crossroads with D942 on D54. At the stop sign, go straight ahead on the D54 to Couret via La Cour and Issoudun-Létrieix.
At Couret, turn right onto D7. After Haute-Faye, take the first road on the right to Saint-Médard-la-Rochette (viewpoint from the esplanade behind the church).
Downhill to Courbarioux (junction with D942), opposite after crossing with D94.
At Courbarioux, turn left onto D942.
After Fourneaux, turn right onto D7 d° La Rochette
At La Rochette, take D18 d° Aubusson via Alleyrat.
At Aubusson, follow rue Vaveix and rue des Déportés to the traffic circle after the Pont Neuf over the Creuse (Cité Internationale de la Tapisserie on the right). Plan on a good hour’s visit minimum, or even 2 hours.
Take opposite “at 10 o’clock” rue Saint-Jean d° Felletin, via D23.
