The cultural event of the fall in Creuse
An unmissable event in the cultural agenda of the fall, the European Heritage Days are organized on the third Sunday of September. They are always an opportunity to go and meet Creuse residents who are passionate about their history and heritage. The safeguarding and enhancement of places steeped in history reveal all their diversity over the course of a weekend.
First of all, there are the must-see, masterpieces of civil or religious architecture. Creuse is full of chateaux and remarkable churches.
There are also secular know-how that make our department famous: stonework and the Creuse masons, the famous tapisserie d’Aubusson and more broadly, all the work of wool. From the spinning mills, to the museum picture rails, via the factories, take advantage of the European Heritage Days to discover the entire industry!
